We would like to announce a new major feature with every release of OCD, but sometimes we have to dig back into the code and lay some groundwork for the future. Version 82 is one of those releases. An enormous number of changes have gone into this release, but very few of them are directly visible. Here are a few:
- OCD now supports GoPro’s “chaptered” videos. When the GoPro records a video that’s larger than 4GB, it splits it into several video files. OCD now stitches them together seamlessly.
- Speaking of video, when you hit play on the videos, they used to keep playing even when you go off and do something else in a menu or a dialog. It now stops the video when you stop paying attention to it.
- Finally, when you import a bunch of runs at the same time, OCD asks you what to do with duplicates. It did this before, but the options were confusing. Now, there is a button for the most obvious choice: Import all new runs, and ignore the duplicates.
As always, you can get the new version from the downloads page, or simply restart your old version of Off Camber Data. If you would like to contribute, feel free to comment on the blog, or send us an email at feedback@offcamberdata.com!
